Prescription Medication Program

ADAP—AIDS DRUG ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The AIDS Drug Assistance Program is a State of Florida, Department of Health program that provides access to life-saving medications to treat HIV/AIDS and related diseases. The program assists low-income persons who are living with HIV/AIDS and who do not have prescription healthcare coverage from private insurance, or Medicaid, Medicare Part D or Low Income Subsidy (LIS).
 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

As funds allow the program is open to Florida residents who meet all of the follow requirements:

  • Must have current Ryan White eligibility letter
  • Does not have private insurance coverage for medications, and does not qualify for Medicaid, Medicare Part D or Low Income Subsidy (LIS)
  • Must have proof of HIV positivity
  • Must have a prescription that is:
    • Written by a doctor who is licensed to prescribe medication in the state of Florida
    • Less than 6 months old
    • For medications to treat HIV, AIDS or illness related to HIV or AIDS
    • For medications that are on the approved ADAP formulary
  • Must have current CD-4 and Viral Load results (less than 6 months)
  • Annual gross income (income before taxes) not more than 400% of the most current Federal Poverty Level
